Boiled Egg With Soldier Toast

Egg & Toast

Ok, I admit it, I am a big kid at heart.  If there is one breakfast that would have to be my all time favourite, it would be boiled egg, with runny yolk, and soldier toast to dip into it.

I haven’t had it for a long time and although I’ve been eating more eggs since being on the Dukan Diet than I normally do, I never thought I’d be able to have my favourite egg with soldier toast while on this diet.

But this morning I did!

Cocoa Oatbran Cereal

With the Dukan Diet you need to have a daily intake of oatbran and there are a few of us who just can’t stomach the oatbran omelette.  After three days of trying hard to eat the oatbran omelette I went on the hunt for another recipe that would give me my oatbran intake for the day but be a little nicer than the omelette.  Here is one that I found and is a good alternative for breakfast to get your daily oatbran intake.

Cocoa Oatbarn Cereal

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbspn oatbran
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder (preferably low fat)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • a few drops of vanilla essence

Crab Meat Omelette

Crab Meat Omelette

Omelettes have become one of my favourite meals since I started the Dukan diet and I will quite often just cook one up for lunch.  As crab meat or seafood cocktail mix is an allowed food on the protein stage of the diet, I often have it in the house just to snack on.  So when I thought about adding it to an omelette I was pleasantly surprised as it was just delicious.

Of course you can add just about anything to an omelette so if crab meat isn’t something you like, then try some ham, salmon or anything else that you desire.  I will often add some tomato and baby spinach too.

Ingredients:

  • 1 full egg
  • 1 egg white (or more if you prefer a bigger omelette)
  • a handful of crab meat
  • mushrooms
  • chives
  • salt and pepper
